Marpo Kinetics on deck to help build Gold’s Gym a Stronger Future Together
Stronger Future Together is the theme at the Gold’s Gym International Franchise Convention at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino being held this year. Franchise owners are spending three days at the annually held convention to gain and share knowledge and best practices to maintain the Gold’s Gym standard as one of the world’s leading gyms.
Marpo Kinetics’ Director of Sales, Tetsu Okano, visited the convention to discuss strategies to help gym owners position themselves in a changing economy. “Market knowledge is key. Gym members are aware of gimmicks and look to their gyms to provide the full package when helping them meet their fitness goals. Marpo Kinetics has the products and programs to help support that,” says Okano.
ADA certified, multi-use equipment, exercise guides and event and social media support are just some of the ways that Marpo has been helping gym owners get the results they need, but their industry acclaimed Rope Trainers, equipment made hugely popular thanks to their inclusion on NBC’s The Biggest Loser, are a gym owners secret weapon to keeping pace with market demands.
“New equipment is the most fundamental and effective way for club owners to retain it’s clients as well as gain new membership. Multi-functional tools, like our Rope Trainers, are a gym owners best bet when choosing pieces that will give them the most for budget,” says Marius Popescu, former elite athlete and president of Marpo Kinetics.
The innovative VMX Rope Trainer not only catches the eye of members, but gives gyms the opportunity to flex their knowledge of cutting edge training techniques. Any trainer can go to Marpo product support pages for exercise guides and come off looking like a rock star. The free range of motion allows for plyometric work, cardio and strength conditioning. As far as versatility and efficiency go, there’s nothing else like it. The ADA-certified VLT Rope Trainer lets gym owners take advantage of tax credits and is wheelchair accessible, ensuring that gyms are serving members of all needs. A quick release, levitating platform is an extremely cool feature of the the V250 Rope Trainer which has been a staple of military training programs and has since seen wide acceptance in mainstream gyms.
“Most people go to the gym seeking advice on getting fit, losing weight or training for sports and it’s up to the trainers and gym owners to step up to the plate as experts in their field. A gym owner can not expect to keep up with the demands of today’s market with the same old layouts and programs. People are smart enough to know that if they can get the same workout running past your gym, they’ll have no reason to take a look inside,” adds Popescu.
In addition to their intelligently designed line of equipment, another great aspect of working with a supplier like Marpo is their product support. Their Rope Trainer Challenges have evolved from training and attention getting expos to annual stand alone events that draw in new members and have seasoned members and trainers alike excited to be a part of a training revolution. It is truly an exceptional business model when a supplier works together with gyms to build stronger futures the way Marpo has. Access Control Equipment in France $195 How to Strategically Evaluate France. Perhaps the most efficient way of evaluating France is to consider key dimensions which themselves are composites of multiple factors. Composite portfolio approaches have long been used by strategic planners. The biggest challenge in this approach is to choose the appropriate factors that are the most relevant to international planning. The two measures of greatest relevance to access control equipment are “latent demand” and “market accessibility”. The figure below summarizes the key dimensions and recommendations of such an approach. Using these two composites, one can prioritize all countries of the world. Countries of high latent demand and high relative accessibility (e.g. easier entry for one firm compared to other firms) are given highest priority. The figure below shows two different scenarios. Accessibility is defined as a firm’s ease of entering or supplying from or to a market (the “supply side”), and latent demand is an indicator of the potential in serving from or to the market (the “demand side”). Framework for Prioritizing Countries. Demand/Market Potential Driven Firm. Relative Accessibility. Accessibility/Supply Averse Firm. In the top figure, the firm is driven by market potential, whereas the bottom figure represents a firm that is driven by costs or by an aversion to difficult markets. This report treats the reader as coming from a “generic firm” approaching the global market – neither a market-driven nor a cost-driven company. Planners must therefore augment this report with their own company-specific factors that might change the priorities (e.g. a Canadian firm may have higher accessibility in Canada than a German firm). Latent Demand and Accessibility in France. This report provides a detailed overview of factors driving latent demand and accessibility for access control equipment in France. Latent demand is largely driven by economic fundamentals specific to access control equipment. This topic is discussed in Chapter 2 using work carried out in France on behalf of American firms and authored by the United States government (typically commercial attachés or similar persons in local offices of the U.S. Department of State). I have included a number of edits to clarify the information provided. Latent demand only represents half of the picture. Chapter 2 also deals with micro-accessibility for access control equipment in France. I use the term “micro” since the discussion is focused specifically on access control equipment. Chapter 3 deals with macro-accessibility and covers factors that go beyond access control equipment. A country may at first sight appear to be attractive due to a high latent demand, but it is often less attractive when one considers at the macro level how easy it might be to serve that entire potential and/or general business risks. While accessibility will always vary from one company |
